Itinerary

DAY 1, Arrival to Israel
Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

DAY 2, Independence Hall / Mini Israel / Latrun
Start the day with a visit to the Independence Hall where the establishment of the State of Israel was declared. Next, drive to Latrun to visit the new “Mini Israel” park including miniature models of the most important sites and buildings in the country. Continue to visit the Ayalon Institute, once an ammunition factory for the Hagana, the underground movement before May 1948.

DAY 3, Tel Aviv
Visit the Diaspora museum. Drive around the main streets of Tel Aviv, center of business and entertainment of Israel. Stop at Rabin's Square, place of assassination of Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin. Continue to Old Jaffa, an 8000 year old port city; Visit the ancient ruins and walk around the restored artist's quarter. Visit Neve Tzedek, the first neighborhood of Tel Aviv, built in 1909 and Nahalat Benyamin, the pedestrian street of the city with its musicians, hand made jewellery and artifacts. Next, stop at Sheinkin, the lively and colorful street especially known for its unique shops, cafe life and youthful ambiance

DAY 4, Tel Aviv

DAY 5, Caesarea / Beit Shearim / Haifa / Acre
Drive north to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region. Visit the Roman theatre, the crusaders’ city, the aqueduct and the new multi media museum recently opened. Stop at Beit Shearim, once the town of the Senhadrin, the Jewish Supreme Court. Proceed to Haifa to visit the Naval museum of the illegal immigration to Israel at the time of the British mandate. Drive to Acre; walk along the old harbor and visit the underground Knight’s halls. Continue to the northernmost point of Israel at Rosh Hanikra. Descend by cable car into the limestone Grottoes. Meet with a Kibbutz member and learn about the Kibbutz lifestyle. Overnight: Kibbutz

DAY 6, Safed / Tel Facher / Banias / Tel Hai
Drive to Safed, center of Kaballa movement. Visit the old synagogues and stroll the old Artists’ colony. Enjoy a Jeep tour to the foot of the Golan. See the former Israeli fortification, and overlook Kuneitra and the Syrian part of the Golan Heights. Proceed to a former Syrian army camp and continue to visit the Banias springs. Visit Tel-Hai; see the “Roaring Lion” monument and learn about the heroic battle of Josef Trumpeldor and his comrades in 1920.

DAY 7, Beit Shean / Beit Alpha / Gan Hashlosha / Jerusalem
Drive via Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee to Beit Shean, the biggest archeological park in Israel with beautiful excavations from Roman and Byzantine periods. Stop at Beit Alpha to see the beautiful mosaic floor of a synagogue. Proceed to Gan Hashlosha (Sachne) where you will enjoy the fresh water springs located at the foot of the Gilboa Mountain, the famous mountain on which King Saul was killed in the battle against the Philistines. Continue via the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem, stopping at Mount Scopus for a blessing. Overnight: Jerusalem

DAY 8, Jerusalem: The New City
Drive to Hadassah Hospital to view the Chagall stained glass windows. Proceed to the mountains of Jerusalem for a tree planting. Onto Mount Hertzl, the military cemetery and Yad Vashem. Continue to the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the book, where you will see the Dead Sea scrolls. Then continue to Mea Shearim and learn about the unique lifestyle of the ultra orthodox communities. End the day with a visit to the Ammunition Hill, once a Jordanian army camp which, at the time of the 6 days war, became a symbol to the braveness of the Israeli soldiers in the battle of Jerusalem.

DAY 9, Jerusalem: The Old City
Celebrate the Bar / Bat Mitzvah ceremonies at the kotel. Tour the old city. Visit Davidson center. Proceed via the Arab market to the Cardo, stop at the remains of the city wall dating back to the first Temple period; walk through the Jewish quarter to Jaffa gate, and visit David’s Tower.

DAY 10, Qumeran / Massada / Dead Sea
Drive through the Judean desert to the Dead Sea. Stop at Qumeran, the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Continue to Massada, ascend by cablecar and tour the ancient fortress, visiting the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue, the bathhouses etc. Descend by cable car. Next stop is for lunch and spa facilities in one of the leading hotels in the area.

DAY 11, Jerusalem
At leisure in Jerusalem.

DAY 12, flight home
We enjoy our final meal and continue to the airport for our flight home. Returning home with unforgettable memories that are forever

Optional Extension to Eilat:

 

Day 1 -  The Negev Desert / Eilat Travel south to the Negev desert, visit Israel’s Air Force Museum near Beer Sheva to view the planes and equipment and to hear the story of this brave fighting force. Continue south, visiting kibbutz Sde Boker, to see Ben Gurion’s hut and grave, overlooking the agnificent Zin Valley. Stop at Mitzpeh Ramon to gaze into the Ramon Crater, an otherworldly geological wonder. Overnight: Eilat x 2 nights.

 

Day 2 -  Eilat Begin the day with a panoramic view of the city. Continue for a visit to the Underwater Observatory, one the largest sea aquariums in the world, built into coral reef. Afternoon – at leisure.

 

Day 3 -  Eilat / Timna / Tel Aviv Morning at leisure. In the afternoon depart Eilat to visit Timna copper mines and King Solomon’s Pillars. Marvel at the huge multicolored rock formations. Continue to Tel Aviv. Overnight: Tel Aviv x 1 night.

 

Day 4 -  Depart Israel Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for departure flight.
